There are a few things that I have noticed when I have been doing the monthly tallies.
1. If your trackable is in the hands of someone that has been holding it and visiting caches with it, you may want to send them a friendly reminder that the race is not for mileage and the trackable has to be dropped in the cache in order to get points. I am sure that the intentions are good, but they may not be aware that they are not adding points by dipping the trackable.
2. If your trackable is in the hands of someone that is not moving it, you may want to send them the same friendly reminder asking them to drop it off for you.
3. There are a lot of trackables that are getting dropped into cache types that I didnt originally have a point value assigned to (i.e. mystery caches, letterbox hybrids, etc.). Because there are so many that this is happening to, I am now giving 5 points to any trackable dropped into a cache type that was not on the original list.
4. I highly encourage you to check your points as we go along. If you get a different value than I do, please let me know.
